One of the goals with our Annual Appeal Program is to have our donors remember the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital each year when they are planning their charitable gifts. At the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation, our experiences go beyond the care, comfort and solace that is received at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. Our donors make this continuing mission to raise funds for exciting leading-edge technology and diagnostic equipment possible. Since the beginning of April 2005, the Foundation has donated over $2 Million dollars to help bring new, improved medical services to the hospital. Every year, the needs of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital are greater than available funds, but with the support of our donors, we can continue to meet the needs of the community. The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is Northern Alberta’s only secondary referral centre which services a surrounding area of over 300,000 people including Northern Alberta, North Eastern British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.

We want our donors to know that their expression of caring makes them every bit as important as our doctors, nurses, therapists, technicians, and support staff; you are a vital part of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital health care team. Any Alberta Health Services employee can make a charitable donation to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation directly and automatically by payroll deduction.  Each pay period the Payroll Department makes the deduction as per your instruction.  At year end, the accumulated charitable tax benefit will appear on your T4 statement so an actual charitable receipt is not required.

To participate in the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Payroll Giving Program please download the form below and return it to the Foundation Office for processing.  Your charitable gift will be deducted directly and automatically by payroll until such time as you request the deduction to discontinue.  Your request to discontinue must be made in writing by a letter of direction to the Foundation office.  If you would like, at anytime, to change the fund to which your donation is being credited, please contact the Foundation directly.

 

I have supported the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation through the payroll giving program for a number of years.  With my contribution, I feel a stronger ownership for the services the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is able to deliver to residents of the entire Region.  I believe that contributions of any size go a long way toward ensuring the availability of equipment which is essential to the delivery of quality health care.  Smaller, less expensive pieces of equipment are every bit as important as the larger, high profile pieces.  I know that financial contributions made by staff make a difference and I am happy to be a part of that process.
